Shopping For Wholesale Jeans

Sunday, May 29th, 2011

There are so many benefits of buying wholesale jeans that the possibilities are really endless. Most women would like to be able to wear a nice designer pair of jeans, but most people just cannot afford the prices. Designer jeans are those that are marketed as status symbols, rather than good, quality clothing. While many designer jeans are in fact a very high quality, this is not the case with all of them, so it is not something you should assume as such.

You can also find many lower priced lines of jeans that are just as good if not better, but they will not give you the status that a pair of designer ones will. The difference is that when you wear a designer pair, everyone knows because they typically have a very prominently visible name or logo on the back pocket. Not everyone is looking to make a statement though with them, many people like them because of the quality and the variety of fits.

Each designer is known specifically for a particular type of style of jean and shoppers choose one depending on their body type. Although designers make a lot of different types of jeans, they generally are geared more towards slimmer body types. These types of jeans range in price, but are always more expensive then store brands. This is where wholesale jeans really step in and save the day.

Jewelry the symbol of status and wealth

Tuesday, May 24th, 2011

The word jewelry is derived from Latin word jocale, means plaything. But it is the most ancient form of body ornamentation. In ancient times, jewelry was used to be made from bone, animal teeth, shells, wood, carved stones, etc. A specific piece was made for each part of the body. Apart from functional use, jewelry was a symbol of wealth, status and membership. It had been used to move wedding dowries, to keep large amount of wealth or to just for artistic display.

With the growing influx of designer or art jewelry, people not only love to wear it but also don`t mind spending lavishly on it. Such designs are made with coins, gemstones, precious stones, etc. and they are set into precious metals like gold, silver, platinum, or white gold. These days most of the gold jewelry is made of an alloy of gold, stating its purity in karat by displaying a number followed by K.

American gold jewelry are of 10 K which is 41.7% gold. Higher purity levels are 22K which is 91.6 % pure and 24K which is 99.9% pure and these levels are used in Asia, Middle East and Africa. For silver jewelry, silver sterling or 92.5% fine silver is used. Besides, the low-priced jewelry is also available. Such jewelries are made with glass, semiprecious stones, wood, shells, bone, ivory, etc. Beads, made of glass, gemstones, metals, clay, polymer clay and wood, are also used to make bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and rings.

Acne Skin Care Products – Which one to choose?

Friday, May 20th, 2011

There are literally thousands of acne skin care products on the market today. These include medications for acne treatment, products for acne prevention, makeup for acne prone people, facial cleansers, and many other products. Finding the products that work best for you takes work – and money.

Most acne skin care products contain benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl peroxide is on the FDA’s (Food and Drug Administration) ‘unsure’ list. This means that the FDA has approved benzoyl peroxide for human use, but they aren’t completely sure that the product is safe. They won’t know the answer to that until further testing has been done – which requires years.

For this reason, if you are simply trying to prevent acne, you should use acne skin care products that do not contain benzoyl peroxide. Instead, look for products that contain natural, herbal ingredients, as opposed to products that are full of chemicals. You should note that you don’t have to use products that are specifically for the treatment of acne either. You can purchase essential oils, such as Evening Primrose oil, to treat and prevent acne as well. Products such as this can easily be purchased from your local health food store.

If you are trying to cure acne, as opposed to preventing acne, you will probably have to use an acne skin care product that does contain benzoyl peroxide. However, if this is the case, try to avoid exposure to the sun while using the product. Benzoyl peroxide can make you overly sensitive to the sun, and can also increase your chances of developing skin cancer.

Cut Your Own Hair

Monday, May 16th, 2011

Cutting your own hair may sound scary, and for some, the results may look scary, too. But lots of women just like you cut their own hair; and so can you. There are advantages and disadvantages, so to help you decide for yourself, here are five hot tips.

One thing that most people don’t notice is that when you cut your own hair, there is a natural tendency to favor your strong hand and struggle with your weak hand. You may need two pairs of scissors, one made for people who are right-handed and another made for lefties.

When you cut your own hair, the cut will tend to be off-balanced by the fact that one of your hands (the one your write with) has more dexterity. This can result in diagonal cuts when you wanted horizontal ones or deep cuts when you wanted them to be shallow. But if you are aware of the natural tendency, you may be able to avoid mistakes made by overcompensation by paying close attention to the way gravity or your own grip tends to slant the scissors.

Cutting your own hair is all about confidence, creativity, and a willingness to learn. Yes, it may seem like a pretty hairy proposition to a beginner, but even applying makeup is a major challenge if you’ve never done it before. Just as you approached that skill a little at a time and graduated from painting your nails and applying lip gloss to plucking your eyebrows and choosing the right shade of foundation, you can master the art of the haircut one inch at a time. And if it’s not your cup of tea, there is still a seat for you at the salon, where you will be able to communicate with your stylist for a better outcome because your knowledge is now “a cut above” what it used to be.

Child Friendly Ideas for Flower Girl Gifts

Thursday, May 12th, 2011

Flower girls are often as excited to be apart of a wedding as the bride is. Their station is unique. Unlike the bridesmaids who perform as a group, a flower girl is alone in her wedding duties. This role is a lot of pressure for a single child, but one a young girl will usually accept with enthusiasm. It is important to honour her with a gift to thank and congratulate her for the duties she performs. Flower girl gifts should be sentimental, a special token between her and the newlyweds.

Ideally, the gift should be child friendly. This means it should be durable, interesting, and age appropriate. Children prefer colour over function. They like decoration and themes, something they can hold onto and play with. It is not recommended to give a gift that is breakable, has to be stored away, or can easily be lost. A child’s attention span is very short. A flower girl deserves a gift she can enjoy in the moment when her duties are recently fulfilled.

Teddy bears are a great idea for flower girl gifts. They can serve a dual purpose. Not only can a cuddly teddy bear be a gesture of gratitude, they can calm a nervous child before the ceremony. This goes for the rest of the wedding day. Teddy bears provide comfort and can help relax a child who may feel overwhelmed from the attention she is receiving.

Like teddy bears, dolls dressed as brides are innovative and fun. Children have healthy imaginations. After a wedding, when the images are still fresh in her mind, a flower girl is likely to act out the events in her playtime. For this reason, dolls dressed as brides are a superb reward for a young girl, as is costume wedding dresses.

Every child loves chocolate. Not only is it a special treat, it can also be used as an incentive for a flower girl to behave during the wedding. Thus said, it is best to give her the chocolate after she is safely out of her dress. This is especially true for a summer wedding when chocolate is likely to melt in the heat.

A money jar or piggy bank is also a nice gift idea, even more so if it comes preloaded with a few coins inside. Children generally like money jars. They enjoy the sound of the coins dropping in and thrive off the excitement of emptying out a jar before buying goodies. It is best to give money jars after the wedding so there is no burden for the child or her parents to carry it around all day.

Clocks have come into fashion as unique gifts for flower girls, especially ones with soft designs or princess themes. Even if a flower girl is too young to read a clock, children still take pleasure in the decoration it provides. As well, it’ll be a great incentive for her to learn how to tell time.

Flower girl gifts are always special. No matter what is given, a flower girl is likely to treasure her gift until the day of her own wedding day.
